My open letter to TextDrive Staff
I see you have linked me in your internet staff pages. I know you guys suck and you don’t have the decency to apologize to Jeff Blaine and get on with life. This is a sign that the company has already started going down hill. When you post in some internal memo how much you suck and sit shaking in your dirty pants not knowing how to fix this problem. Be strong brave men and women and take responsibility for your bad customer service and your crappy CEO and get out there and apologize to Jeff Blaine. Maybe even give him his money back for the entire time he was with ya.

This guy thinks you suck. Paul Jones thinks you suck. BTW - Dev he thinks you suck. This guy thinks you have shitty Customer Service too. What are you going to do to him. Nuke Him?
You left a bad taste in this guys mouth too.

My current host – TotalChoiceHosting – won’t host RubyOnRails, which seems really stupid to me, considering all the hype Rails is getting. I wanted to check out Rails and TotalChoiceHosting is forcing me to go somewhere else.
My first stop was the RubyOnRails.org site, which points newbies like me directly to TextDrive.

You can’t assume that Jeff explained both sides of the story. And yes, I was there and read the forum post as it happened. There is no doubt it my mind whether Jeff was very out-of-line and blatantly disrespectful, no matter the actions of TextDrive staff.
Additionally, this post has listed nine articles which think that “TextDrive sucks”. Nine ***NINE***

For a host of this size, nine really unhappy users (not even taking into account the validity of said discontent) is very good.
If I Googled for people ranting about how atrocious Dreamhost and MT are… these nine posts would dissapear among the surfeit that I would find. (Yes, they are bigger and more established… but that still would not account for the massive difference in overall satisfaction between TextDrive and Dreamhost or MediaTemple.
I won’t dig up anti-Dreamhost or anti-MT links, you can find them on your own well enough.
It’s fine if you had a bad experience. No matter how good the host, that will always happen. Just don’t go crazy trying to get people hot and bothered over it. Yeah, you’ll get sympathy. It will make you warm and fuzzy that you’re mad and you want people to know it.

Out of curiosity, why do you have five separate links to people who think TextDrive sucks, each one identified separately, but they’re only actually three people?
And at least one of those threads shows that the quote beign used to show TXD in a bad light was taken quite out of context, and then the discussion turns into how things were improving.

I’m hosting at Mediatemple too and they have been down for several hours past days. Not really down but way toooo slow, takes literally minutes to open my site. I’m really disappointed!
