The 39 cent blog network.
Open Source Media has no business plan. There plan is to build a traditional media venture. They are looking even worse than Weblogs Inc. They have no real content worth reading on their site. They have a bunch of hype and a controversy brewing over their name. Which sucks. I understand they have a pretty big network. But I am not a believer yet. I don’t see what really links all these guys together besides that they have a desire to make money. To make me a believer they are going to have to quit putting all that AP content up on their site, and start by actually learning how to blog. Isn’t that what a blog network used to be. A bunch of people in community blogging. Guess, I got confused. But I am still trying to get Weblogs, Inc. to take down a splog. So I suppose I am not going to help these guys either.
If anyone wants to disagree with me. That’s their problem. Atleast have the courage to leave a comment. Because I want to hear something positive about this dumb OSM venture. Because I got off the couch on a Saturday Night during the USC football game to read my feeds and post this post. Which is a violation of Fine Fools policy but who cares. This is crazy what’s going on with OSM. They need to close their site and get out of Dodge.
I like what Jarvis has to say.
Give me your ideas, thoughts, and feedback. Or else.

I thought you said controversy was a good thing for a site to have, maybe this naming **** is part of their plan.

Ahh. So that’s their plan. Steal a trademark make a big deal of it all and have crappy content. What a fucking great business model. Maybe I should try it.

I think the inherit weakness in their (notice the correct usage of this homonym) model is the fact that there (again I rock the homonym) are far too many egos involved to coordinate any profitable business plan for Pygamas Netlayabout. The sites within may continue to be profitable, and some may rise in profit from more cross linking and traffic.
On the other hand, no one knows what 9rules is doing and we are so rich we eat sushi off naked people.

Here’s a positive word for you: “blogomerate”.

I think it’s inherently embarassing to correct someone elses grammar, whilst thoroughly cocking-up your own wording. Condescend much?

Its all good. I know him. I am shitty at grammar so its alright with me. That one is probably my worst. Their There and They’re i always get em cornfused.

Thank you for pointing out my mistake johnny dee. As liberalcowboy knows I am horrible at finding the right words sometimes. And it is not condescending, it is teasing.

I think you’ve hit the nail on the head – it’s about the money stupid.
