Yahoo gets hungry
According to fellow 9ruler Om Malik Yahoo has gobbled up something ridiculously del.icio.us
According to company founder/president its really good for all of us. Although it just leaves a bitter taste in my mouth as I quit using Yahoo for everything years ago after they sold my email address and personal information to God knows who. And on top of that they are bastards for aiding the Chinese government in sinking a journalist. Who knows they might even start selling your linkages and your appendages.
I guess I have to find a new product to bookmark with. Hmmm I wonder what is out there that is open source. Might I introduce something a little more de.lirio.us.
If you guys think I am joking about boycoting del.icio.us I am not. I am fucking serious. No being fa.cetio.us today.
This is one combo that just doesn’t go great together even if everyone thinks it is.
This is good news. Yahoo get great workers who make tools that can change the way people use the internet. del.icio.us get an insurance policy that if their ideas really take off into the mainstream then Yahoo have the size to ensure del.icio.us can stay on the frontline. That’s a win win situation in my book.
